Where to sleep
There are many accomodations where one can sleep, depending on the type of trip that one wants to do. There are several resorts and villages at 9 km from the center of Malindi composed of a complex of villas built in an oasis of tropical vegetation where you can make your dream come true: enjoying Africa.

Garoda Resort Watamu

One of the most beautiful accomodation of the coast is the Garoda Resort. Located inside the Watamu Marine Park, a marine oasis protected by the WWF, the resort is rated 4 stars and is composed of villas and bungalows with 2 floors in an elevated position facing to the beach, to which slope down perfectly among gardens and sand. The village of Watamu is located only 6 km from Garoda, the town of Malindi 28 km away and the Mombasa airport is about 125 km.

 

The Beach
The beach of fine white sand among is one of the most beautiful of all the coast; it is characterized by the phenomenon of the tides: at low tide a tongue of sand comes up from the water and you can take long walks on it, as well as natural pools of crystalline water that allow a pleasant bathing. This stretch of beach is part of a controlled and protected area, therefore the use of mask and fins involves special permission and a fee, subject to change, defined by the governement responsible for the protection of the marine park.



Rooms

100 rooms in characteristic kenyan style, all furnished with air conditioning, safe box, refrigerator, hairdryer and traditional king size bed with mosquito net. They are divided into Standard rooms (on the ground floor, with garden view), Superior rooms (with the same basic furnitures but all on the first floor, with tea and coffee and a large circular balcony), Family room (on the first floor, composed two separate bedrooms) and Superior villas (located on the ground floor and first floor, with entrance and living area shared.

 

Food
Buffet restaurant with daily availability of international and local dishes, large terrace with sea view (african dinner proposal weekly), pool bar. For a fee: à la carte restaurant.

 

Sports and entertainment

Large swimming pool, beach volleyball, beach tennis, bowling and table tennis. A payment: international kitesurfing school and diving.

 

Other services

Wi-Fi free in the lobby , card room and TV room. A payment: currency exchange , doctor (on request) and boutiques , spa with massages and other treatments.
