Watamu, considered one of the most beautiful kitesurfing spot in the world, is a beach of fine white sand, ideal for learning in safety and improving your navigation skills. This stretch of coast is affected by the tides with a hike of about 4 meters every 6 hours. The water is super flat, while outside the reef, about 1 kilometer from the shore, there are shaped and smooth waves.

As for the weather conditions, the best season for this spot runs from mid-December to mid-April. In this period, the wind direction is known as Kaskazi from North/North East (side on from left) with an average intensity of 18-22 knots increasing in the afternoon always with flat water and little chop.

From mid-May to mid-July there is the rainy season, so the wind changes and enters the Kusi from South/Southeast (side on from right) with intensity of 15-20 knots and heavy chop with swells. From mid-July to mid-October the wind from the South East is intense from morning to evening and great for wawe riding, while from mid-October to mid-December is a variable wind between 8 and 14 knots not constant and flat water. Kites size range is from 9 to 12.
